Las Vegas, Nevada (January 21 to January 24, 2025): The 2025 SHOT SHOW once again was held at the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum Conference center from 1/21/25 to 1/24/25. This article will focus on the newest and most innovative handguns introduced at this year's show. This annual show is sponsored by the NSSF (National Shooting Sports Foundation) based in Newtown, Connecticut, USA. With more than 8,000 members, this was formed in 1961, and also known as the Firearm Industry Trade Association. The very first SHOT SHOW was held in St. Louis, Missouri USA in 1979 and had 290 exhibitors. This year's show had over 2,700 exhibitors from over 110 countries and 50 states. Eight innovative manufacturers introduced their newest CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) handguns in 2025: 1. RUGER: Ruger RXM; 2. STACCATO: HD P4; 3. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY: 1911 DS Prodigy Compact; 4. HECKLER & KOCH (H & K): CC9; 5. SMITH & WESSON (S & W): M & P 9 Compact Carry; 6. GLOCK: G48 A-cut Aimpoint COA; 7. SAVAGE: Stance XR and 8. TRISTAR: APOC.
RUGER RXM: this handgun has a similar design to the Glock G19 but this is a collaboratin between Ruger and Magpul with the latter producing aftermarket modules. This has a 9 mm caliber with a removable FCU and interchageable Magpul grip modules. Retails around $US400.00.
STACCATO HD P4: Designed to fit 9mm magazines and comes with 18-round steel mags. Expensive but this newest addition eliminates the grip safety compared to the older models. It comes with an updated direct mounted red dot and buffered recoil system. Caliber is 9mm and reetails for: $US 2,499.00.
